Resolving alerts is one of the core actions you can do in Page An Engineer. Alerts occur when a monitor fails, these are sent out to those in the escalation policy for the failing monitor. When a user receives a notification they come to the dashboard or the alert directly and click the resolve button to resolve an incident, this activates a 5 minute timeout for the down monitor. This is to allow time to resolve the incident quickly while keeping the monitor active. If your monitor has an interval that is longer than 5 minutes this does not apply to that monitor.
You can view an alert before resolving it to determine more details about what went wrong or wait for it to become an incident within 5 minutes.
